Here is a brief summary of news from yesterday’s College Board Counselor Workshop at Canisius College:

  • They removed the course questions from PSAT section 7 of the Student Data Questionnaire, so it will reduce the test day pre-administration time.
  • PSAT results will be available to educators on the K-12 score reporting portal on December 4. They plan to notify students by email and roll out scores to students December 11-13.
  • They added four more free official full length practice SAT tests to Khan Academy (which has resulted in a 10% reduction in commercial test prep usage).
  • Fee waivers will not have an expiration date.
  • SSD accommodations will continue to be in effect for all College Board tests.
  • When criticized for their (arbitrary) 4 day limit on free official test scores, they said they are planning on “banking” free score sends in the future.
  • When criticized for not offering printed SAT score reports for student files, they said SAT scores will still only be available electronically on the K-12 portal, but individual student pdf score reports are printable.
