Sign In, Coffee and Light Breakfast, Networking Welcome to CBLS and the WNY STEM Hub, Dr. Michelle Kavanaugh, Facilitator for the WNY STEM Hub, (Retired Superintendent of Schools). Michelle will describe the Hubs programs and relationships, including SUNY.  The SUNY STEM Scholarship Program will be discussed.

iSciWNY, Dr. Sandra Small, Business Development Associate for the Workforce Initiative, CBLS (Member of the WNY STEM Hub). Sandra will provide resources regarding the online STEM career resources and teacher kit STEM materials for these career pathways:  Lab Sciences, Engineering, IT.  See http://isciwny.com/

New Regents Career Pathways Decision, Charlie Crumb, Field Director for the NYSCTE Center, (Member of the WNY STEM Hub). Charlie will explain the implications of the recent Regents decisions regarding assessment and graduation requirements, especially as it pertains to CTE and STEM.

New NYS Science Standards and the Strategic Plan for Science, Dr. Joe Zawicki, Associate Professor of Earth Science & Science Ed, SUNY Buffalo State, (Board of Director Member for the WNY STEM Hub), Joe and others from the WNY STEM Hub have served in advisory roles to SED on proposed, changes to current NYS Science Standards as well as a strategic plan that addresses STEM.
